Our managed account Portfolio Manager is Mike Turner. He is an engineer by education and a highly successful entrepreneur with more than 25 years in the field of systems development and enterprise-level software applications. A great deal of the investment decision-making process we use at Sabinal is dependent upon the very sophisticated software system that has been designed and patented by Mr. Turner. Mike is the system architect and is the originator and creator of the algorithms and design methodology of this highly quantitative system.

The system for investing that Mike has developed is a rules-based system. He does not rely on instinct, gut-feelings, emotions, analyst opinions or hunches. 100% of the trades he makes are based on solid fundamental and technical analysis with his rules-based quantitative software system.

He adheres to the philosophy that the only way to make consistent and significant profits in the stock market is to unemotionally select the right equities at the right time and then to sell those equities at the right time. Mike has a sell strategy for every position in the portfolios, at all times.

The tools he has developed cover the gamut of time cycle market forecasting, fundamental analysis and technical trends of stocks, sectors, industries and entire markets. He utilizes his proprietary market-timing programs to tell him when to be in the market and when to be in cash.

After selling his high-tech software company in ’97, Mike made the decision to take his three decades of running advanced software development companies and apply that technical knowledge to the design and development of an entirely new stock analysis system.

Several thousand man-hours of software development, and thousands of back-tests on decades of historical stock trades later, he opened his system to the world when he introduced his first portfolio in January of 2002 as a newsletter portfolio in Mike’s other company, TurnerTrends, Inc. which is now merged with his ultra-successful time cycle forecasting company, CycleProphet, Inc. As word of Mike’s success grew, more and more investors began requesting that he manage their money. In response to that demand, Mike launched Sabinal Capital Investments, LLC, a registered financial advisory, in 2007.

His book, 10: The Essential Rules for Beating the Market is often the best-seller at investor conference bookstores. In his book, Mike details his proven methodology for picking the right stocks at the right time, holding those positions as long as they are making money, and how to time the market for the best time to sell. The objective of Mike’s methodology is to think like a fundamentalist, but trade like a technician.
